  1. So, now we’ve found you, what do we do?

  2. For Weddings and Portrait shoots: First of all, fill in the Enquiry Form (under Contact Us) and send it off to us. We will respond within 24 hours and contact you by telephone wherever possible to discuss the general details of your shoot.

Subsequently, a meeting will be arranged between us to discuss your booking and answer in person any further questions you may have.

  3. How far do you travel?

  4. We travel anywhere within the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area, the Central Coast and the Blue Mountains and will meet you at any time and any place you choose, on any day of the week. We also travel for country and interstate bookings, so please phone us to discuss your booking and a mututally convenient meeting place and time.

  5. What happens when we meet you?

  6. We will come to you at an agreed time to introduce ourselves and discuss with you what you expect and hope for from your photography shoot. This is an essential part of the process.

You are not just booking us to take snapshot photos, you are booking us to take quality photographic images recording your special event, drawing upon our experience and expertise of professional Wedding and Portrait photography.

  7. Do you do mid-week shoots?

  8. Yes, we do. In fact, due to many event venues now offering lower prices for mid-week events, this is becoming a very popular option among engaged couples. It is also a desirable option for Family shoots, with many venues and parks being less crowded during the week.

  9. Do you do weekend shoots?

  10. Yes. We realise that it can be difficult to organise a shoot during the week, so we will happily capture your images at any time on any day mutually agreed upon.

  11. What do you shoot with? Film or digital?

  12. We shoot with top quality digital cameras for our professional work and always have at least two cameras and an assortment of lenses with us, which ensures a variety of images and effects.

  13. Can we get copies of the images on DVD?

  14. You certainly can, and will, because it is an essential part of your package, whether personally tailored or otherwise.

  15. Who retains copyright of the images? Can we use them again?

  16. Absolute Capture holds the copyright to all images taken by their photographers, which just means that we can legally use the images for our own advertising purposes. However, we will not use any images that you would prefer us not to use.

You can use the images again, but if any of the images are published, credit to Absolute Capture Photography must be given in writing.

  17. We want to book you – now what?

  18. Once you have paid your non-refundable deposit, it guarantees your booking with the nominated number of photographers on the nominated and agreed upon date of the event.

For weddings, your booking will be secured with a non-refundable $400.00 deposit and once you have made your booking, we will work with you to ensure you get not only what you want but much more than you ever expected. We will arrange your Pre-Wedding shoot, which is a wonderful opportunity for us to work together before the Big Day, so when it arrives, we’re an established Team. We will also contact you 2 weeks before the Wedding to discuss any issues, answer any questions, and generally reassure you that your wedding shoot booking is still on track. And, of course, we are available at any time from the date of enquiry to the actual event if you want to discuss with us anything at all.

For Portrait shoots: your booking will be secured with 50% of the total package. Having already discussed your requirements, we will then book the time, date and location of the Portrait shoot. After that, we all turn up and have a fun photography session.

  19. What impact will your presence have on our wedding?

  20. We strive to be unobtrusive and discrete, fitting in with your guests and occasion without drawing attention to ourselves and away from you. Respectful of religious customs and preferences, our photographers are smartly dressed and professional in their attitude and work.

  21. When do we have to pay the rest of the due amount?

  22. For Weddings: Half of the remaining balance is required to be paid by the end of the Wedding Day itself. The other half of the remaining balance should be paid upon collection of the images and dvd’s, which must be within six weeks of the event itself, unless otherwise agreed upon by us all.

For Portrait shoots: Half of the remaining balance is required to be paid upon the day of the shoot itself and the final half of the remaining balance should be paid upon collection of the images, which must be within four weeks of the shoot itself, unless otherwise agreed upon by us all.

  23. How can we pay?

  24. In cash, by cheque or by direct transfer into a bank account. We do not offer Eftpos facilities or accept credit cards.

  25. What about albums?

  26. Albums can be formulated at any time suitable to you. We will work with you to design an album of your choice and it will take approximately 4 weeks to deliver following agreement upon the final design.

We offer a variety of albums in regards to sizes, colours and finishes. Your album should be as personal and special as your Wedding Day and we will work with you to achieve this.

  27. We’re just working out the schedule of our wedding day – how much time should we allocate for the wedding photography?

  28. To ensure we are able to capture your special images, we recommend allocating the following times when planning your shoot:

Bride’s Home: A minimum of 1 hour, shooting the Bride’s preparation
Groom’s Home: A minimum of 30 minutes, shooting the Groom’s preparation
(Factor In: Travel time to the Ceremony location)
    Ceremony: Duration of ceremony
Post-Ceremony: Allow a minimum of 45 minutes, allowing us to shoot you greeting and accepting congratulations from family and friends.

Wedding Shoot: Allow a minimum of 30 minutes shooting time.
(Factor In: Travel time to the Reception location)

And, if you’re still keen for MORE shots at another location, (for example, the City at night):

Post Reception: At least 20 minutes.

  29. What are some common mistakes that can be avoided?

  30. There are many! But we will happily discuss these with you when we meet with you. However, with us working together as a team, which is what we strive for, you won’t have to worry about these.

We will also forward to you our very helpful Information Sheet, which includes the recommended Do’s and Don’ts of planning your wedding and the Day itself.
